This case really does the job and the compact size if perfect for taking on those road trips where you are most likely to need it. The charger is barely larger than the battery. The included USB splitter cable is also very useful and totally effective, since I usually do all my charging at night where there is plenty of time to charge both the phone and battery at the same time.

My phone's battery always drained very low right before I have to go somewhere. Having the car charger only partially solves this problem because my drives are not long enough to charge my phone battery to a adequate level. With this battery-charger combo, I can quick swap the batteries, plug in the charger, and leave. My blackberry usage is not interrupted. It's very convenient. The extra battery is as good as the original one that came with my phone. The cable allows me to charge both my phone and the spare battery at the same time. This item is definitely a good call from RIM.
